Default Using a GM Tech 2, Tuning??

just curious what can all be done with a GM Tech 2. i have a dhp powrtuner i use on 3800s, but a buddy has an ls1 and he's able to use a tech 2 at a technical college. he wants me to help tune his car, but i don't really know what can all be done with this tech 2, or how easy it is to work with.

anybody have any input/advice? thanks a lot guys,

Tech 2 is more or less a scanner that can also flash a stock OS into the PCM.

You will need HP Tuners, EFI Live, etc to be able to tune the car.

You have to get the files from GM in order to Flash with a Tech2. It can disable and enable options in the car. Run alot of diagnostics for the onboard modules.

It is mostly just a scan tool.

I have a tech2, you can't do anything with it really other than scan. GM does have software that you can tune with, but even I can't get a hold of that, so...
