Default Fuel pump relay control

On an 2002 PCM and harness, does the PCM ground the relay control or send a 12v signal?

We have run the car, we think its wired right, but the fuel pump wants to stay on all the time.

The realy is connected to constant power, and the relay is fed 12v expecting the PCM to ground out the circut, we think we assumed wrong and that we should ground the relay and the PCM should send a signal, Whats the verdict?

Red PCM connector, pin 9, dark green w/ white stripe. ... it's a positive output; it has a relay driver built in.

Even with a built in relay driver, will that cause an issue with the relay we have set up? Or will it just basically have 2 relay's in the circut?

I am not sure what you are asking but.... hook up one side of the fuel pump relay's coil to ground, and the other side to the PCM on wire that I noted above.

Ok we just assumed wrong, we figured that the PCM would ground the circut, so that explains why when the car was off the relay was grouding into the PCM and running. We just need to take the power wire on the relay and run it to ground and it will work fine. Thanks Frost.
