Maybe tell them you're gonna post their name so no one goes to them for tuning.

Doesnt matter what the lift is, its the overlap (duration/LSA) thats gonna make it idle rough, surge, blah, blah, blah, if its not tuned correctly. It'll do it at .525 or .600 lift.
As for the stall, that should help it idle better. It would need trans tuning for the converter but again, it shouldnt make the idle tuning more difficult. If anything it should make the idle tuning easier.

I'm running 4500, that could be the source of your surging, which could cause other issues, if it's tuned to idle lower - it eliminates the surge, but if you go too low - it dies, so it takes a mixture of both proper tuning and the right stall, what size stall did ur spec sheet recommend?

A 3600 should be plenty loose enough to not be an issue. The problem is most likely what everyones with a big cam experiences if its not tuned correctly. An improperly tuned VE table, too rich in and around idle, and the motor basically wants to gag on the extra fuel.
The car needs to be tuned in SD to get the VE table right. Then re-enable the MAF and dial it in, or just leave it SD if you want. As soon as the VE is straightened out, it'll run like a whole different car.
That cam should easily idle at 850 or so.

Speed density handles cam overlap better than maf. You can also run COS5 efilive in TPS fueling mode, which will basically solve your problem. You can set a trigger where it passes from TPS back to SD etc.
So yeah in summary its your tune and there are plenty of options to fix it, though most ideal options will be a custom OS.
