When would you go to a aftermarket ECU?

What is the main use of the car? If its mostly a track purpose car, i would recommend a Bigstuff 3 ECU for ease of tuning at the track.
If it is a street duty car, then it really depends on how deep your wallet is, the bs3 is really nice to be able to fine tune on the fly, but in most situations a 2-3bar custom os will work for most boosted cars.

with a glide and a turbo accompanying a 408 i'd say its a track car.... a stock computer cant help you at all if racing on a limited tire....
BTW i got my BS3 today jake... thanks! im gonna try and get it on in the next 2 weeks or so.... first im gonna gut the dash and engine bay of all wires

Ty-Ty13 What do you mean that the stock computer wont help running on a limited tire??? It will be both street and strip.
By the way thanks for the help, This is new to me to. I had the Vortech supercharger with the Hyper turner and it was done!!!

if you dont know how to tune via efilive or hpt then you need to see a local guy to help you get started... running a limited tire requires timing retard based on time and boost controlling based on mph/time/rpm
