Default Can a newb use HPTuners?

I am really interested in learning how to tune, and want to give it a shot. Would I be ok picking up HPTuners and learning it on my own? I mean between HPTuners and all the information here on LS1tech?

It can be done; we all started from scratch (at least I did).
The main things are to study as much as possible, learn the software prior to making any changes, save your original file as a benchmark, and make only one change at a time.
A quality book on tuning, such as Banish's Engine Management Advanced Tuning, would also help.
You will also need a wideband O2, btw.
Best of luck.

Correct. Examples include, but are not limited to, the Innovate LC-1 (permament mount) or LM-1 (portable).

If you know how to use computers (I guess so, you're on the internet), and have half a clue how to tune a motor, you won't regret buying HPT. This site and the HPT forum have a wealth of helpful info to get you going. Both sites also have a few idiots spouting BS, so this is where you need the half a clue about tuning to start.

I dont think he needs a wideband until he tunes WOT, which is easy to do on a dyno, which comes with a wideband.

I will not answer that question due to the fact that my reply may incriminate me in the court of law.
