Default car dies when put in any gear

hey all,
yesterday i went ahead and successfully ran the car..it idled fine, never stalled...and drove relatively fine for its first trip since i put everything that is listed in my sig on...changed the oil..and went to start it up today.
it idled odd for a bit...started, ran for 5 to 6 seconds and shut off...after 3 or 4 starts, it catches itself at idle, and i estimate the idle is at around 800 (perhaps too low). when i put her in reverse, it immediately drops to low for it to catch itself and kills itself off...
i didn't drill a hole in the TB...is that an option? my cam may need just a wee bit more to keep the motor alive. i unfortunately paid to have my tuning done, i don't have the software...what do you guys think the culprit is?

Yeah, you will probably have to drill the tb out some since you have a larger cam now. There are some threads on this, try a search...

indeed....this is common knowledge..
why would it have driven relatively smoothly on the first day w/ no stalling...lead me to believe all the stalling when put into any gear could be caused by something else...ill def do that tho when i get home this wknd, an easy fix hopefully

You have a similar problem I had. Mine however did exactly what yours did before it was tuned. If it's only doing it when you first start out you just need to let the car run for 15-20 seconds before moving because of the bigger cam. The problem I had until yesterday was the idle would dip to 500 or below often stalling in bumper to bumper traffic. If I was to move up just a few feet giving it enough gas to move when I came to a stop the rpm's would dip down to 500 and lower and stall if I didnt catch it in time and give it a little gas.

I went to a new tuner that was alot closer who offered to help me out yesterday. He found alot of things that were off and did find the cause for the idle dip. In my case it was a few things and I'm sorry I can't recall them all but one was the RPM's in this one table were not in the increments they should have been.

Sorry I cant be of more help but I would go back to your tuner and tell them what is going on. Afterall you paid for the tune and they should back up their work. I had to go to a new tuner because the one I had you could never get on the phone or get any answer from.

Good luck.
