Default No Power

I'm trying to hook up a 5" monster tach to my 99 Camaro ls1. The light is coming on and I can adjust the shift set ****, but the tach itself is not registering any rpm at idle or when I hit the gas. I followed the wiring instructions but they were general and autometer was no help when it comes to the ls1. If anyone has hooked one up successfully please tell me which wire you used to connect to the green wire that is supposed to go to the coil. I hooked it to the large pink wire (I assumed an electronic ignition wire) under the steering column upon some advice of another ls1 guy on this site (my mistake). Apparently that was the wrong wire but luckily everything seems fine, it's just not working. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Never installed one but think you need to connect it to the tach signal wire off the PCM. www.ls2.com/boggs/torques/99pinpcm.htm

you will have to hook it to the Tach signal wire out of the PCM
it is a pink wire but I am not sure which connecter it came out of
the odd thing is it (the Tach) will need to be set up like a 4 cylinder in stead of a 8 cylinder

not sure why this is but with my E-Boost ll boost controler it was reading double the tach till I swiched this in the E-Boost from 8 cyl to 4 cyl

I already set it to 4 cyl but I'm still unsure which pink wire it is. Is it solid pink? Is it large or small?

Yes, try connecting it to the white wire off #10. Called my buddy and that's where he connected his shift light, then ran the wire to inside the car.

Do I have to use the same gauge wire to connect the two wires?
