Default O2 Sensors??? Confusion...

So, I have removed the rear O2 senors on my 2000 SS and used the diablo to deleted the error codes. But, I am looking at the air/fuel gauges and they are measured on the "narrowband o2". What is the difference between the narrow band o2s and wideband o2s? Also, should i be running the rear o2s, because when I do the engine light comes on? I heard that you need the rears for proper tuning. Anyone got any ideas of what i should do, or use so i can pass emissions in a few months?

Dont need the rear 02's if you use a 02 simulator or deleate the entire bank from your pcm using a tuner. Erasing the code doesn't help, it will just come back. I passed emissions fine with the rear 02's deleated, we dont have a visual inspection here, just the pcm gets plugged in to the computer.

Narrow band O2's are only accurate around 14.7 AFR. They are worthless when you start to run under 13.5 AFR or over 15.5

A wideband O2 can accurately measure AFR ranges from about 10 AFR to 20+ AFR.
