I have a Diablo Sports Predator for a 98-02 ls1, im not trying to get myself in trouble but would like to sell it and was wondering what the right way to go about it on here would be.

For starters, make sure you have restored the original backup to the car it was used on so as to unlock it. Also, it will not work on a 98, only 99-02 F body, 99-03 Vette, and 99-02 trucks.
Post it in the for sale section, or in the proper local section of the forum.

Isn't it only the newer ones that can be used on another car after returning them to stock?

This works for any tool except any old U7198s that have the 1.03 release revision on them.
