Question engine swap question

Hey everyone , I have a question that didn't come up in a search so I am hoping some of you can assist me.

I am getting ready for my winter project, what I am planning on doing is dropping a 440ci LS7 shortblock into my 05 GTO.

My car is currently fully modded and I currently have a tune on my car now when I drop the new engine in will the car run on that specific tune or will I have to get it re tuned right there in order for it to run? I have HP tuners on order so if need be I can do it but I don't have a wideband.

Oh its not stock the car is fully modded heads, cam, stall etc. But I just want to be sure that I can get to the tuner with the car once I drop in the motor.

Buy a wideband, its cheap insurance. If you don't I would tow it to a tuner.

Thanks I was kinda thinking that I might have to do that unfortunately I'm not HP tuner savvyin the slightest (still sitting in the wrapper). And I have a wide band for it already.

My advice is definitely dont drive the car.. Im sure you would hate to see your new motor break or detonate .. I say tow it and then maybe your tuner can put a modded LS7 tune in it to start it and that away it will run but it prob will be super lean.
