Installing PTB in a few days. What to expect?
What should I expect to happen with the PTB? I just got HPT, don't know a damn thing. Will I have to adjust my idle airflow tables?

Probably not unless it has been drilled. IMO, PTB doesnt do much but help w/ throttle response. That said, people usually dyno 3rwhp more with them. Just a PTB will not be enough to have to tune anything.

I wasn't asking about power gains, I was asking what effect the PTB would have on the way my computer reacts to the different airflow. I have had cars in the past where I have installed a bigger TB and it has made the car idle strangely.

If it has been filled in the IAC port you may need to
enlarge the hole there, to not bother idle / startup
airflow. If you run into trouble after installing the piece,
it is most likely a mechanical problem that wants fixing
and not a software one.

That and the PCV are ridges which (supposedly) would impede
flow by the turbulence they create. The ports at their face are
unnecessarily large for the holes they feed. So at one time all
the how-tos went on about filling & drilling them. Dunno if there
ever was any quantitative proof it mattered. I did it to mine at
the time and only after the cam swap, discovered it choked the
IAC channel too much for cold start to be happy.
