Default what timing should I be running(EFI live)

I have only had the car for about 2 months and it came with all the mods I have on it plus the EFI live tuning software, i finally got around to doing some datalogging lastnight and the timing looked low to me, its tuned speed density and when @ WOT it starts at 18.5* and finishes off @ 21* right around 6k or so, should I put more timing in it? How much?

I havent actualling been into the timing software yet so Im not sure how to even put the timing in it but I'll cross that bridge when I get to it

Timing is best taylored to each individual car, and alot depends on what type of fuel your running, but the timing you have now still seems really low, id start around 26-28 and go from there

seems like that timing is the spray tune...but it will be fine on motor as well...

bring it out to redline or kennedale and let's run 'em...

timing took me a while to get a good balance between a motor tune and a spray tune so i didn't have reflash between the two tunes...

sounds good,man...just log a lot and read up some on their website and it will all fall in place as time goes along...

it took me a while to get timing where i liked it so i could run a spray tune and motor tune together so i wouldn't flash it every time...

Off the bottle at WOT, optimal timing for that cam is 27* starting around 2400~2800rpm up to redline with an AFR of ~12.7:1 across the board. On the bottle, the rule of thumb is to pull 2* of timing for every 50hp of N2O and run an AFR of 11.8~12.0:1.

Yeah....if that's the case, it sounds like you might be running a custom operating system.

GD. I guess you didn't get much traction?

I played with that software a lot. Although that is the same tune that was loaded from the other owner, I uploaded a few of my own before. I actually talked to SSpdDmon on the EFI Live forums. He seems to know his ****. Good luck with tuning it.

I do see a race between us in the future though...

We'll see. Later this year im going to sell the KB and get the new Whipple. I'll put that trans to the test.

Whenever you get it all tuned and runnin some nitrous through it, let me know. I want a ride.
