How upload tunes on pcm with efilive?
I am wanting to transfer the tune off of my car to a friends car. How do i do that? I went to read pcm calibrations and saved my tune there. Now what do i do? Go to program pcm calibrations or program pcm operating system and calibrations?

oh,if the other car's pcm is the same operating system,then you can just do the calibration flash instead of full operating system flash...
it will show icons indicating of what type of flash is available...

seems like you can,i believe you open each tune side by side and copy and paste...(not the compare function but open each tune in a separate window...
i copied some spark tables from another tune and pasted them a while back when i was trying different spark curves...(2000 camaro to a 2004 gto,entirely different o.s.'s)...

You probably really only need to check IFR flow rates if your injectors are different, ve table and spark tables. Oh and PE table. But then if the MAF the same too? What about mods etc? You can copy all you wont unless they are exactly the same its not going to be ideal for you.

I'm not trying to sound like an *** at all.. but every car is different even with the same mods... it wont be optimal. It will get it somewhat close... You will still need to retune it for the specific car. You cant flip flop tunes with a 98. hardware is different. You can copy and paste settings and reflash it. I would say to look on the efilive forum for a FAQ or a new user tutorial with some of the questions you have. Should be able to help you out.

What all settings would you copy and paste? Im new to the tuning world and wanted to get a base tune on my car to work with. The 98 car was dynoed with the mods I have. Intake,injectors,heads,cam,pistons,rods, even the exhaust is the same. I built my current motor with the parts of the car Im talking about getting a tune off of. He also said it had a nitrous tune. What areas would I have to look at to change to N/A?

You've read your tune. Look at your operating system number when you first open your tune. Then, go to www.holdencrazy.com and download a stock tune from your model/year/trans with the same operating system. Once you have the stock file saved on your computer, you can use the compare feature to see all of the tables that have been changed from stock.
To use the compare feature, load your current tune. Then, hit Ctrl+F11 to load an alternate calibration for comparison. Once loaded, the red arrows <--> will light up. Click on them and it will show you a list of every table that is different.
You need to do the same thing with your friend's tune....read what is in his car and compare it to a stock file of the same operating system. To start from scratch, highlight everything in the list and click the update button at the bottom of the list. This will put his tune back to stock.
With your tune and his tune open in their own windows, look at your list of differences from stock and copy over the tables that make sense to copy to his tune. In other words, if you have 3.73's and he doesn't, it wouldn't make sense to copy over the trans tables.
That's how I'd do it...

I got what you told me earlier. Actually I alresdy changed most of the tables. I was just seeing which ones were the most important to pay atteention to. Thanks for all your help.
