Default Brand new PLX AFR gauge is reading 17-15

I just installed the plx wideband on saturday. WHen i was all done i turned the key on and it read 14.7-14.2 with the car off. When i started the car it stayed at the range until a minute later where it jumped to the above mentioned range. Now i am extremely concerned that the car is reading that low. My question is has anyone had any problems with these gauges reading completely off or is the gauge right and my tune is wrong.

Try driving the car and see where it's at. Your car might be a little lean on cold start. The wideband takes a minute or two to operate because it has to be at a certain temperature.

I have the same guage on my turbo car & it's works good.

i thought the same thing so I took the car on a thirty minute drive to see what it would do. At idle after thirty minutes of driving the gauge hangs around 16-15 and sometimes for a second jumps to 17. While i am driving the gauge reads between 15 and 14 and sometimes jumps from 17 to 16. When i give it WOT the gauge then stays around 10 and 11. Could the location of the sensor be the reason why these reading are off because itis only in the left bank about 10 inches from the primary collector on the header. Or again is my gauge correct and i need to go buy EFI Live.

When O2s get old they can favor the lean side of life... Is there a problem with it at cruise though? Is it so lean that it bucks and jerks and hesitates or does it drive ok at pert throttle? Need to ge that WOT fixed though.... You sure it was tuned? Seems like it would be really tough to make the numebrs in your sig if it is really that fat.

if by cruise you mean holding a constant speed without cruise control on at 30 it will stay around 15.9-15. As far as bucking and hesitating it sometime does between shifts. Sometime their is a pause before ll of a sudden the torques comes in. I am positive it was tuned. When i drove it to ttp i barely could drive it without it practically dying. Now it drives almost like stock in my opinion to much like stock but there has been a problem with my setup since day one and i still have yet to find out what that is. I guess maybe t is time to consider new O2
