Default gauge cluster is wack

I have a 99 ls1 in a 94 camaro using all the 99 stuff. The problem is when the cluster was in my 99 everything worked. Now that its in my 94 the gas gauge, temp gauge and tach stopped working. I hooked up an autometer tach at the correct place, grounded it and it works fine. The other two were checked out on a scanner and seemed to be fine but still don't work. Is this a grounding issue and where should they be grounded? If you guys can get me some wiring diagrams for dummies it would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like a ground. In the 98+ there are ground wires on both sides of the dash by the kick panels.

Did you change the interior harness to the matching 99 harness or leave it a 94'. If it was left a 94 then you need to run a serial data wire to the cluster. If it is a 99 harness and was swapped over start checking grounds and I am sure you will find your problem.
