Atap Analysis Question
Did a few atap runs tonight
I noticed my spark average during cruise conditions (FTC 1-19) was 27.763
WOT spark adv avg is only 19.875 KR is minimal across the board
Wondering why my cruise is high and my WOT is low
Any suggestions on what I can look at to determine why the low adv numbers at wot
Also, please confirm - I do want to take an average of TimingAdvance...Thanks
Scott

Re: Atap Analysis Question
Your cruise spark advance will vary due to the RPM and MAF flow (grams/cylinder). Now for WOT, how much KR retard are you considering minimal? I'm not for sure but I believe that the highest timing value in the High Octane Table for a 2002 during WOT is only 28* if you are at 100% load. Whats the highest octane gas up there in NY?

Re: Atap Analysis Question
Hey Felton:
Here are some sample KR values
WOT Overall
0.141 0.0022 (last night)
0 0.0014
0 0.0062
SUnoco 94 is the highest octane pump gas you can get around here...I usually run 92
Not sure what g/cyl denotes 100% load, byt from 0.88 to 1.2 g/cly, 19 is the highest value
Is this an area that I sould target my spark tuning efforts?
Thanks bud!

Re: Atap Analysis Question
Here is a pic of the High Octane table from a stock 2000 F-body. It shows the timing based on rpm and g/cyl. Yeah, thats not much KR at all. Have you modified your MAF or using a MAFT?
Sorry for such a big image.

Not sure on how to post an image, I thought this was correct?

Re: Atap Analysis Question
Hey - thanks - yeah the 2000 table is definitely different
I modified my MAF table (via LS1Edit) to get my LTRIMS negative...They are running in the -4 to -6 range...
I descreened the actual MAF hardware as well
On a cursory glance, the 00 seems to be a few degrees more aggressive overall
Here is my stock 02 high octante table...

I think image links are surounded by [img][/img] tags? Dunno.
Thanks for the image - I'll look at it more closely this weekend!

Re: Atap Analysis Question
Depending on how much you changed the MAF table, the PCM might not be seeing the actual load on the engine. You might want to try putting the MAF table back to stock and adjust your L-trims with the IFR table.
