Default To EFILive Users and the Auto VE Tuning

About this process I have a few questions about things i noticed while reading the writeup.Im looking to do this to my 98. It keeps saying in the writeup to do this and that to the backup VE table. My question to that is why do you want to do this stuff to the backup VE table and not the main ve table??? Or do i need to just ignore all that and do it with the main ve table?? Any help is appreciated. Thanks

Brian

While in SD mode the fueling is controlled by the secondary ve table so it is good to make changes to both tables especially if you plan on enabling the maf sensor.

or upgrade to the 2002 operating system, it only uses the main ve table, so just 1 table to tweak!

You cannot simply upgrade from a 98 operating system to an 02, they use different pcm's, you would need to swap pcms, repin nearly every wire going to the pcm, and from what I've been told a segment swap from another file needs to be done into the file you want to use, etc.

Not impossible by any means but alot of work especially for a first timer.
