Default Delphi 85mm Maf Tables

When Using A 85mm Truck Maf (not A Slp Modified Maf) On A 02 Ls1 What Values Are You All Using For The Maf Table And How Accurate Do You All Feel These Are?

you will want to match the MAF
to the car with tuning.

the maf frequency vs. airflow table, log fuel trims for maf frequency and adjust from there

Yup and will likely need a wideband from greater than somewhere around 7Khz.

Personally, I log commanded AFR and actual AFR to derive AFR % error and log that % error in a table that matches the MAF's so that the % error can be applied (copy and paste-special) directly back against the MAF in the editor.

because the tables are based on that MAF and how it acts in that OEM truck intake tract.

It's much easier than VE tuning to get it squared away.

Yea But What If You Not Sure Your Ve Is 100%

At This Point All I Know That The 2 Together Work Good But I Dont Know If Either One Is Off And Just Compensating For The Other

If you're steady throttle and over 4000RPM (which you should be
with the converter) then it's all MAF for airflow. Verify this by the
Dynamic Airflow and MAF Airflow readings being identical. Use the
wideband WOT reading against commanded AFR to judge the MAF
(and injectors, and fuel pressure, etc.) accuracy.

Curved intake tract can bother the MAF, yours isn't but trucks
tend to be. Still I found the truck table put me dead right, back
before I did the cam swap. Then it went a bit to the rich side.
Have not revisited it since the intake swap.

http://forum.efilive.com/showpost.ph...77&postcount=9
this is for efilive.
also change {B0120} from 4000 to 400
this way you will be using the MAF only for calculated airflow.
this is not the best forum for tuning info IMO
hang out in the efilive/hptuners forums for better tuning advice.
and don`t worry about your VE not being 100%
there are too many variables from day to day for it
to be perfect each time you log.

Shoemike, I have one question about that link you posted. When it says keep closed loop disabled as in autoVE tuning does that mean to just keep the LTFT disabled???
