Problem with HPT
My Laptop crashed a while ago and I had to reinstall HPT again and now everytime I start it a window appers that says No license information found I tried all of the methods to solve this but its still not fixed. Even when I hook it to the truck it says that its not connected. Any info on how to fix this would help Thanks.

install the USB drivers for the MPVI interface unit, open the software to the above screen, then hook up the interface via it's USB connection, then follow the instructions and it will fetch your licenses off of your cable. Make sure you are using the latest serial/string when you do it. You can get it emailed to you via the customer center.

Help me out here, you are kinda general in your description... Where is the problem? Is it with the driver install? After the install does the device not show up? You have the latest version of software and latest key? When you get the above screen and your cable is hooked up, does the computer recognize the device and recognize it properly (ie NOT say unknown device)?

What happens when you connect your interface to your pc & click ok?
As long as your drivers are installed & showing up in your device manager all you should need to do is click ok & follow the demo here http://www.thetuningdoctor.com/HPTun...nghardware.swf to resync your licenses.

It tells me that the interface is not connected and the interface is and the light is on.

Thanks ffof667
I did it and this is the way in detail:
>Attach MPVI into desired USB port
>Goto "My Computer",right clic
>Goto Properties, clic
>Goto Hardware
>Goto Device Manager
>Goto Other Devices
>Right clic, update
It will tell you when device installed and for which port
If you have more than 1 port, then repeat steps with deice attached in second port and so on.
I hope this helps.
Thanks again Bill
