Default Could idle/surging problem be related to ABS module failure?

I recently (and suddenly) had an idle/surging problem with my car...mods below.

I also had an ABS INOP problem that turned out to be a bad ABS module (EBCM unit). I can't remember if the idle problem came at the same time as the module failure, but.....my idle seemed to get much better right after I replaced the ABS module.

Does the ABS have anything to do with the idle?

The 2 are not related to the surge problem. ABS are only in effect with the brake system and bcm, not pcm. Check your throttle body for gunk around the blade and bore and make sure its clean and go from there.....

Thanks for the info. Actually, I've aready done that, plus a couple of idle relearns, and checked for vacuum leaks. I have not actually checked idle vacuum with agauge, though.

But if the idle stays as good as it was today, I'm gonna forget about this until it shows up again.

I was just curious about a possible connection between the ABS computer and the PCM, since it just seemed like a strange coincidence that the two problems went away at the same time.
