P1416 Secondary Air Injection (AIR) System Bank 2. How to fix and find problem. my car recently had the service engine soon light come on. I hooked up a generic scan tool retrived the code P1416 looked it up and its the Secondary Air Injection (AIR) System Bank 2. I was wondering what is needed to fix this problem and how much of pain it's going to be if any. Please help thanks. Also have a misfire should I replace the spark plugs and coil packs or just wait hook up a scan tool and only replace the effected cylinders or cylinder. Anything helps thanks I have a 98 Trans Am 80k miles

I haven't checked the fuse yet, but I erased the code and it was gone for a day then my service engine soon light came back on so i don't think its the fuse, but that will the first thing i will check. Air Pump?

If the AIR PUMP fuse is blown it'll probably throw P0412, mine does. For P1416 I'd replace the passenger side air check valve (probably clogged). It's not expensive and easy to replace yourself.
