Default O2 Simulators

I called a big speed shop in Baton Rouge, LA looking for some O2 simulators but they told me that they can't sell O2 sims anymore as well as they can't delete them out of the computer either. Is this only in Louisiana or nationwide?

Reason I ask is because a friend of mine has a 07 GMC Sierra (new body style) V6 truck and is wanting to get rid of his cats (I don't know why, but he does) and will need O2 sims so the computer doesn't throw a code. Does anyone know where to buy O2 sims that will work? By chance, will F-Body ones work? I haven't crawled under his truck, but does have 1 or 2 cats on his truck since it's a V6?

Many thanks for any information!!!!!!

Guess it's nationwide for the O2's! I'm glad I had the basic tune done on mine a couple of years ago, so they're already deleted! Truckshop, have you tried those O2's and can verify they work? Reason I ask is because I bought some for my car off ebay since they were cheaper but they never worked. Thanks!!!

Anyone know if F-body O2 Sims will work on the trucks? My friend called SpeedInc yesterday since they had O2 sims online for sale and they told him they wouldn't work. I know older cars have different O2, but doesnt' seem like GM would make different O2s for each vehicle?

Yeah EPA is cracking down on those type of aftermarket devices with hefty fines for the manufacturers and resellers.
Just find someone with tuning software and have them delete them for you.

20kohm resistor in series with a 30kohm resistor, capacitor inbetween (at least 2 farads) and poof....

as stated, EPA has been cracking down on this stuff .... and posting on a public forum about wishing to break federal law isn't exactly the wisest thing (yea they won't go after you, but gives them more incentive to outlaw anything that can modify a cars PCM or trick emissions sensors)

I REALLY hope that was a misprint. A 2 farad cap on anything but a big electric motor or a competition stereo is overkill. BTW, the OP should really just buy tuning software. O2 sims are a joke.
