change oil reset..no more SES light alright well first off i got a SES light on constantly for my cat-delete pipes. anyway as i'm driving my z the oil change light would come on but would go off in a few min. when i got home the other day i decided to try reset the oil change system not even changing oil or anything. i just held the trip meter down until the oil change light flashed.
lastnight my mom and i went out and i noticed no more SES light. what gives?

SES light will turn off automatically even if the problem isnt fixed, then it will come back on again later. I had this happen when i had a dirty MAF, i ignored it because the light would turn off and i assumed the problem went away which i later learned was a mistake because the problem just got worse over the couple weeks i ignored the light thinking it was ok.
