knock sensor
hi guys, trying to find out some info for my brother. he has a 2000-ish z-28 camaro with a gen iii ls1 and is getting codes that his knock sensor, bank 1 is bad.
i helped him pull the intake manifold the other night, but he is still foggy on which knock sensor is bank 1.... i assume it is the front sensor, but i am not 100% sure.
thanks for the help guys.

hey, was up Mike!
he didnt remember the exact code nomenclature, he just told me it was for a knock sensor, bank 1... so he said he had a bad knock sensor. i knew the two sensors were under the manifold, so we pulled it.. just trying to help him get it finished up.

Just asking because sometimes you'll get codes for high voltage at the knock sensor, but it don't necessarily mean its bad.
I used to have some weird part throttle knock issues in my Z28 and it would trigger either bank1 or bank1&2 high voltage codes, but I replaced the MAP sensor and all was well, still have those 118,000 mile knock sensors in my 99....
