Default P1133 and p1153 Insuffecient switching on b1s1 and b2s1 oxygen sensors

Who has had experiance with these codes??? I'm getting rady to do some pinpointing tests but I wanted to see what people have to say first.....any input is helpful....

All I have done so far is install new o2 sensors......I did that because of the mileage (70K) not to try to solve the issue.....either way I wanted to change them out....

sensors didnt fix it....and I figured that.....so any ideas???

All data says it can be a few things......

I had this problem thru 4 sets of 02's and 2 cats, I eventually just switched to OL-Maf because I couldn't get rid of it. I'm interested to see how yours goes.

the code can be cut out with tuning.

What brand O2's did you install? I prefer the GM sensors which are spendy, but seem to work better even with long tube headers.

Mine seemed to occur in cold weather. I intsalled new GM sensors and put the spark plug heat sheathing over the sensors to help them stay hot. Now I only get the code once in a rare while in very cold weather.

Hate to tell you this but you need to move the bunge closer to the collecter to stop the code for good. I had hookers super comp I had to do it with some headers o2 bunge are closer some are not. Plus did use bosch 13111 corvette o2?

Im dealing with that issue right now. Just installed AFR heads on the car, and havent had it retuned on dyno yet. Coincidentally, the valve covers leaked after the head install, and the shop fixed the leak, but I would not be surprised if they used RTV gasket seal to fix it, instead of another new valve cover gasket. The RTV will kill the sensor. I believe (hope) that will be the cause of my codes: may just be cause the car is real lean now too. We'll see. The other time was when the same shop installed smog shorty headers: i replaced 2 o2 sensors, I didnt realize till I read an article about 6 months later, that dropping the sensors can damage them also. i recalled that the mechanic unplugged them, and just let them drop on the concrete floor from under the car which was on a lift. That may be a cause also. JM 2 cents.

The only way sylacone will harm an o2 is if u use it to seal your headers.
it has to be burnt to release the chemical that is harmful to the o2

i put pacesetter lts on my ta and the code for bad heater circuit came on.next i changed the o2 senser on the drivers side to a ac delco.it looked like a different design.now the code that comes on is p1133 insufficient switching for that sensor.it comes on after driving for 1 day.i recently changed it to a bosch and now it takes about a week to come on.i recently called slp for advice and they say their programmer will take care of it.

It's just bitching about being cold, nothing much you can
do about that (though there was a thread a while ago
claiming that if you opened up the slots to let more
exhaust access to the element, it helped). Kill the codes
and tolerate the poorer closed loop idle & mixture control.

There was also question about not opening those slots up so the element dosent lose heat. Which one is correct idk. Any idea?

OP- do a search on this and you will find this to be a big pita. Lots of posts from me

Try having a GM service center re-map your computer to conform to the now new old environment, or just remove the spark plug shields to stop lost spark energy. just a thought. Good luck.

those codes are due to the longtube headers... you just need to get them tuned out...
