At which point would a rich A/F cause black smoke at WOT?
Ranging from 10.0:1 to 12.0:1, at what range would a rich A/F ratio start causing black smoke at WOT? Does anyone have any experiences?

As usual, it depends on a lot of things. Black smoke is simply an indication of incomplete combustion. And as I'm sure you know, there are alot of things that can contribute to incomplete combustion.
Additionally, even a perfect running car will 'clean out' carbon buildup on the first couple WOT runs.
If your car has CATS, you'll pass out from your exhausts raw gas smell before you see black smoke.
In my experience, a perfect running, bolton, engine with no other complications will start to churn out black smoke when the a/f drops into the low tens.
Good Luck,
Kevin
