Tach problem
I tried searching but found nothing helpful.
If you go WOT the tach will show changing gears at 4500 RPM instead of the 6500 RPM shift point. The car is actually going to 6400-6500 when it shifts according to the EFI live scanner. Speedometer works fine. Tachometer reads correct except when going WOT.
Anyone ever seen this?
Car is a 98 Z28 LS1 A4 3.42 rear, 226/226 .585/.585 112lsa cam, LS6 intake, lid, longtubes, exhaust.
Thanks,
Stephen

I've seen one say 5800 right as it bounced off the 7K limiter... but not as laggy as you are mentioning. That was a 450+ rwhp 6-speed setup. It's par for the course though, the tach doesn't keep up after mods.
Did disabling those DTCs I posted about in your other thread get it shifting right?

So far so good, Hauls *****.... Just doesnt show up on the tach like it should.
I really appreciate the info on that. I have been beating my head against the wall on that one for a long long time.
Thanks,
Stephen
