Default MAF tuning question

I am looking to optimize my gas mileage for obvious reasons, ie $ 3.50 gal.

I am running CL, MAF and for optimun gas mileage I thought about in the cruising cells in the MAF table to lean them out to about 15.3 afr, will this work or will the trims eventually take over and get it back to stoich.

Thanks

There ARE possible tricks, but the simple answer to your question is that the trims will take over. BTW, if every other time you think about hammering the gas pedal, you just don't, it will make more difference to fuel economy than lean cruise. Hotrodders are just one of an infinite list of people who can't "have their cake and eat it too".

altering O2 switchpoints in known airflow modes
running open loop and doing lots of work to get it all right
