Help on dyno tuning myself
Im renting a dyno for a few hours and am kind of new to tuning. My car doesnt hardly have any KR and when it does its only maybe 1.0 to 2.0. Im mainly going to get my AFR straightened out. Im probably just gonna add or remove fuel with the VE Table. What other things can I change to make more power if I dont have any KR? Also how would I tune for race gas? BTW im using efilive and I have a H/C/I forged motor
Thanks
Thanks

I'm not an expert either, but I would add (or subtract) fuel at WOT conditions by using the PE fuel table and do it by RPM. And I would make good use of a wide band O2 sensor, I assume this dyno shop has the WB. Getting the AFR per RPM will allow you to run a consistent AFR of your choice.

Assuming your commanded fuel is where you want it, (with PE mode or commanded fuel in open loop table) and your in SD then yes, make the changes to actual fuel in the VE table. After that is done, make sure you turn the MAF back on and check it and make sure it is calibrated correctly as well

Personally Id get VE done before you hit the dyno. Then its easy just to change commanded afr via the pe table to check you are getting max power.
BUT before you even look at AFR just set PE to 13:1 for WOT and work on spark, then with time left over have a play with AFR, the majority of any gains will be from spark timing at part throttle. Remember WOT tuning is only 5% of total driving experience. As is said power under the curve is where its at.
Make sure you have a realtime setup like road runner etc for best results in the time available. Otherwise you will be wasting time flashing changes.

Dont bother with a dyno tune until you have a wideband. The dyno wideband wont tell you **** about your ve table as it wont be logged against the variables you need.
I think you should do it right or not at all. You will just be wasting your time otherwise and making half arsed changes to random cells.
