however, you need to do something with VATS, as once you insert a key into a new BCM it locks that resistance value to the BCM. So a used one, will have a slight chance of working with your key code.

BCM is the same 98-02 as long as you have keyless entry.
part# 9353691 with keyless
part#9353681 w/out keyless (keyless is option code au0)
