Default PCM is locked... need suggestions.

Ok so I had futral motorsports tune my car originally and they sent it back with the pcm locked (even though I asked for it to remain open).

Ive left a message to try to get ahold of them to find out how to unlock it.

So my question is :

1. do they just need to give me a code to type in and it will be unlocked or do I have to send the whole pcm back?

2. if for whatever reason we cant use that pcm I believe I need a new pcm then correct?

And if so, does anyone have a part number and a general idea of cost for it? Ive got a 2000 ws6.

Thanks in advance.

Chances are since they locked it they wont give you the password to unlock it. I can almost guarantee that they will want the computer back to unlock it then flash it to stock. If they took the time to lock it it's because they don't want the competition to read there tune. However they should unlock it free of charge too you, I don't think Futral would be that shady.

I believe the part number for the 99-00 LS1 PCM is 09354896. Doesn't matter if it's a Trans AM, Camaro, auto or manual. Your tuner will make all the necessary adjustments. Should go used for $100 +/-.

Depending on what they loaded to your PCM, if they will supply you with the lock code, you may need the same tuning software they use to unlock the PCM.

hp tuners 3 bar setup. The tuner Im using (NICD on the boards) said it gave him security error when he tried to log in which meant the pcm was locked. and I highly doubt Allan would give me the code for his HPT file... I was gonna send it back but I am dynoing this weekend so I dont have time to wait for it to be shipped back so I just stuck with the pcm I ordered.

You'd need HPT and the lock seed to unlock your PCM.

SLP Firehawk: They flashed your car back to stock and then locked the PCM? That's just mean and vindictive. Decent of them to refund half your money, but really crummy that they basically bricked your Pcm.
