Default tuning in olsd

when tuning in open loop speed density will i need power enrichment tables set to my desired wot afr. i was reading through auto ve tuturials and notice it said to change pe vs rpm to 14.7. this did not make sense to me, do you only go into pe mode when using mass airflow. the pcm only uses the comanded fuel in open loop table right. i am trying my best to make sense of all this, its a little overwhelming right now.

In the AutoVE process, your WOT fueling will come from open loop fuel table. You disable PE by setting it leaner than the open loop fuel table. This prevents the transitions into PE from causing transient data.

Personally, I never do that... I always set the PE and OL tables to my desired, and tune to that. When it transitions, the actual should follow the desired pretty close. You can smooth in the transitions easily...
