Default EFILive Locking up Laptop!!

Search Not working, EFILive forum not sending register e-mail............

Anybody have any experience with the computer (Vista, plenty of resources) just completely freezing up after a few seconds of data logging. The screen just freezes with the pointer completely immobilized. ALT-CTRL-DEL does not give Task Manager, nothing. Only solution is to restart by holding the power button down, losing all logged informaiton.

If any experience on this, respond with the fix!!

don't use Vista

It's an answer, and will fix your issue, but I'm guessing you don't want to hear that or you would have tried it on another machine already.

I love it!!

Sounds like someone shares my sentiment with the Great Evil! I was running '98 up until 2005 on my desktop!!! Three cheers for Office Sucks!!!

I got one log finished before the thing just stopped me dead.

Anyone else?

I would try this, run the exe in compatibility mode. just right click the .exe file for efilive, then click the "compatability" tab and just tell it to run in xp mode. If this does not work i would reinstall since you said it was working prior to all of this. If reinstalling the program does not work, then I would look into a possible driver issue for the cable itself. i am unfamiliar with efi live, but that could be a possibility.

You might try searching "Vista" on the EFILive forum. I know there's a lot of info there, but I haven't followed it as I downgrade (rather upgrade) everything to XP.
