Default Throttle Body Cfm

Does anyone know the formula to calculate how much actual Cfm I am actually drawing in. I would want to use my Injector pulse width, Gms/cyl, Rpm etc, or something. Can anyone help me out?

Ingested CFM can just be back calculated from your MAF reading.

MAF (g/sec) * 1.642 = CFM

*Only use this one for WOT. If you need it for something otherwise, say so and I'll crank out another one (much bigger).

If you want to use your RPM to calculate CFM it gets much more complicated. You have to know alot of other flow criteria about the engine (volumetric efficiency to be exact). The simplest method is to just convert your MAF reading.

Good Luck

How do you convert lbs/minute to g/sec? I get the 60:1 for minutes part, but the lbs N grams ouch!

Multiply lbs/min by 7.56 to get g/sec
