I have only looked at it in regards to Ford tuning, but it didn't seem nearly as user friendly as HPT/EFI tuning software. Hell, it looked less user friendly than any of the aftermarket standalones I've messed with. Granted, this was trying to help someone tune a Lightning with MAF only (totally different than GM stuff), but it still isn't something I would buy if ANY other options were available.

I went down to Orlando to visit these guys a couple of years ago. They had lots of things in the works. I left there with the promise of a phone call when things were done. Still waiting on that phone call today.

A baseline tune won't help much without knowing what & why things were changed

If you are seriously looking into purchasing tuning software it would be wise to take one of the available classes as well.

You can also visit our forum at http://www.hptuners.com/forum/index.php which has gobs of information on just about any topic imaginable.

I use them for Fords and have been really impressed. May look into getting them for GMs in the future as well that way I can compare it to HP tuners.

Thumbs down

I have the Special Forces tuning software for a F-350 I used to have. It was a joke. I was stuck with a generic tune from someone who obviously never drove one. The 100hp tune made ALL of it's power at about 20% throttle pressure and blew HUGE, I mean HUUUUUUUUGGGGE clouds of black smoke when you stepped on it and then the check engine light would come on EVERY time.

Spent some time on the phone with them. Emailed them my tune, they took out a bunch of fuel....twice. Truck would never run right on there flash.

It was a joke.

Well we are not very happy with the results. We could not add any more than 5* of timing to the tune. stock tune the truck made 188/248, predator tuner made 197/258, snyper made 194/260 . A/F was leaner but it wasnt as flat across the board as the Predator. Trying to data log, it wouldnt read the timing. Wayne(the tuner) is gonna call Monday and see whats going on with it. I hope it will do more.
