HPtuners and transmission tables
Let me start by saying that this is my first A4 car...I've always had M6s.
My question is: are these things supposed to downshift at low tps%? If I'm going 45is and give it a decent amount of throttle it won't downshift. I don't even think it comes out of lockup. Don't get me wrong, it pulls fine...just seems strange to me.
Looking at my shift tables (I changed gears) vs. stock shift tables it appears that it is not supposed to do the 4-3 shift unless I'm going real slow with small tps% or fast with a really high tps%.
So is my problem just in my head, or is it a legitament issue?

Stock part throttle shift tables are retarded, you want
a pedal-proportional shiftpoint for decent right-foot
drivability. Also there seem to be some that make a
"lift to shift" requirement on the 3-4, maybe to protect
the wimp 4L60E but still maybe not what you want.
By holding you into 4th GM probably earned themself
0.1 MPG for CAFE, too. Anyway it's all tweakable.
I have posted an Excel 'sheet (.zip) with decent trans
shift settings that you can paste into any tuning tool,
before; should be able to search that up, I don't have
that file on this computer.

Okay, I loaded all the values in your spreadsheet except for tcc and force motor current. There is a bit of a hiccup in it. The 3-4 shift kind of slips (best way to describe it). 1-2 and 2-3 shift perfect but the 3-4 revs up for a sec. I thought maybe the shift time was off, but it looks okay...I'm lost.

Would the force motor current affect only the 3-4 shift like this? 1-2 and 2-3 are quick and firm. Should I try to adjust the 3-4 shift pressure modifier table? That is the only thing that I can see as an issue. If my shift times are the same for each gear change then the force motor current should affect each gear change equally based on the upshift pressure modifiers right?
jimmyblue-the spreadsheet linked above is very different compared to a bin you posted on hptuners forum of your car...especially in the force motor current area. Which is better? I know your car is an '02 and mine is a '99, so there will be some differences correct?
