I'm thinking about possibly getting the Diablosport Predator for doin a few basic tunes on my 2000 SS. With this tuner, are u only able to use this on one vehicle? Does it lock to it once u use it? My dad owns a 1999 Silverado with the 5.3 and was wondering if we could use the tuner for both. Thanks.

It will only work on 1 vehicle as it VIN locks after installs. PLus there are different models for the 5.3 trucks versus the LS1 in the Fbody's.

Yeah, the U7198 for the SS is the same part as the 99 Silverado, but you can only tune one vehicle at a time with it.
You could tune one, then restore the backup and then tune the other, but not both at the same time.
