Default computer crashed

I've had my HPTuners on a buddies computer for a few months now. He called me to say it was crashed this morning. What can i do to try and retreive all my bin files? I must have had over 80 different tunes and now its crashed, has this happened to anyone before?

This is more of a computer problem than a car tuning problem.

If the laptop doesn't start up, take the hard drive out and put it in a external USB case, connect to another computer and copy the files off of it.

That is a good way unless the hard drive will not power up or is really a disk crash. Send me the disk and I will see if I can get the files off. I have been doing data recovery for 20+ years. Let me know if you want my help.
