Need help SLP MAF falls on its face at 6000
I'm having a problem and could use some help. I got my car tuned and I have a SLP MAF sensor with a TNT wet plate behind it. For some reason when my car would hit 6000rpm on the dyno the air would fall off the chart the tuner said there must be some turbulence from the TNT plate, cus he's never had a problem tuning a nitrous car before.
What do you guys think the problem is. i'm in a bind and right now its on a speed density tune but he said he could get more out of it with a MAF tune.
Also it only has 500 miles on the MAF and he thinks I should maybe try a stock one thats descreened.
My car is a LS6 Head, MS4 cammed 6 speed with a 270lph fuel pump and 38lb injectors.
Thanks for any help , James

Sounds like your Magic Beans SLP MAF is toast. I don't see how running a MAF would gain more??? Unless, the tuner is not actually tuning your VE table as well. You don't need the MAF with the wet kit.
Good luck. Go Huskers!

It's pretty easy to disturb the tiny componets in the MAF. First off, if you have an oiled airfilter, an over-exuberant douching of oil can do it. Let alone physically messing them up.
I went to UNL in the early 90's.

Yes, the MAF and MAP both measure airflow. Both should be tuned IMHO, although many donot. Stock, the pcm is blending the two measurements between the two below 4k rpms; with sole MAF measurement above 4k rpms.
