160* T-stat?
I've got hptuners and can't figure out what needs to be changed for the car to run cooler. I put a 160 in it and it still runs at 205ish. So i was then told to adjust when the fans kicked on so i did and it still runs at 205. is their a sensor i have to replace somewhere or something, or is their something i can still use in hptuners to change it...?

If you are looking at the stock temp gauge....DON'T!!!!!
99-02 FBody's basically have a "dummy gauge", once it gets close to the 210* point it doesn't move much. I set my fans with HPTuners and when scanning I get a consistent 185* while cruising and at idle even though the temp gauge says ~200*+.
Here are the fan settings what most people use for a 160* stat
Fan 1 ON: 184
Fan 1 OFF: 175
Fan 2 ON: 194
Fan 2 OFF: 185
Hope this helps!

Forget the gauge. Read the ECT using the scan tool.
The thermostat has nothing to do with ECT except
when you are coasting at high road speed in winter.
The rest of the time it is airflow, airflow, airflow.
Fans and radiator. Both undersized even for stock
and trying to take cooling air off hot pavement is
sheer genius.
