Default High altitude tuning

Hey everyone.

I have a question about high performance tuning at high altitudes. I know the reason cars lose power up high is the thinner air, but what if you crammed more air in the cylinder to make up for the lack of air density. I searched, but didn't find anything that really answered without getting very, very complicated.

If you surpassed the flowing ability of the stock TB and intake manifold you could upgrade to allow even more flow, no?

I guess what I'm asking is, is there any reason that with proper tuning (and airflow upgrades if necessary) you couldn't gain back a large amount of power lost at high altitude?

Tuning is pretty much tuning. The name of the game is to get as much air into the cylinders as possible then tune to get the most power from it.
