I am using edit with vista with an adapter.
I had to get the latest version of edit though to work with vista.
The adapter I am using is a standard radio shack adapter...

Are you running the program as administrator?

It depends, I have noted that when I go from autotap back to edit, I have problems reconnecting unless I unplug the USB cable from the computer and replug it in. I think it has something to do with the drivers that loads. The laptop does not see a change in equipment since we are using the adapter. At least that is my theory.

I do not have any issues connecting if I start fresh every time, (i.e. Unplug the adapter from the laptop and then plug it in and checking the com port it has chosen) . I use com 1 just to make my life easier so I do not have to change it in edit.

Hope this helps,
Richard
