The following methods are available to tune an LS1 ( as far as i know - i'm talking about factory PCM with no piggyback systems )

1- Handhelds and their associated Software e.g. (Diablo / CMR )
2- LS1 Edit
3- Hp Tuners
4- EFI Live

Are there any others out there ?

SCT/AdvantageIII is another lsx tuning software out there.

as for what software he uses, I am unsure, I would go and ask him, if you have a preference. (only reason it really matters is if he uses a custom OS from somebody)

I believe that when Ed Wright started tuning cars, it was on OBDI 3rd gen cars, like my '87 Camaro IROCZ. The way we tune these cars is to reprogram ("burn") the Eprom (known as a chip). Hence, the name of his company is Fast Chips.
