Default What PCMs to look for

What PCMs can I use with a 2001 LS1, M6? I suspect I have a bad one and need to find a replacement. I know I don't want a pre 99, but can I use a 5.3L truck or one with an A4? Should I still with a 2001 or could I use a 2000 through 2003?

Thanks,
Scott

I believe you can use the same year or newer for sure (with the appropriate flash). As for which older ones will work I have no idea, sorry!

Thanks for the input guys. It turns out that what I needed was a replacement part 12200411. This one is programmable for 99 through 2003. It does not matter what it comes from (truck, fbody...). It can be reprogrammed with the right image if you have the VIN number for the application.
