what are the advantages to speed density tuning over regular tuning? besides gettin rid of the maf. ive ben thinking of getting a speed density tune.
are there any gains/ advantages over normal tuning?

if nothing else it's the best base for a MAF tune. because the MAF reads steady state air flow very well but sucks at transitions a proper SD tune is the correct starting point for either one. as you said tho no matter what they say the MAF is a restriction in the intake path. it's very time consuming and somewhat hard to get a SD nailed down but it's very possible to have it run really well, even with temperature changes, if the Intake Charge Bias is calibrated right
