Default Pro's running MAP system only?

Ok i looked through the last two pages and i didnt see anything on this. I know the LS1 motors have a MAP and MAF sensors. Is there any benifit for retuning to a MAP system only. My stock MAF took a dump when i dropped a K&N fiter in so i replaced it with an slp. This happened after i got it tuned and my ses light comes on randomly for bank 1 & 2 fuel trim too lean. Haha i know i dont have anything big done now but just wondering for future mods to come.

Normally its place is with boosted engines.

But n/a engines can be tuned with MAP as main load....or TPS.

Many people run speed density (MAP only) and if you have a large cam, with lots of maf reversion, there are some benefits to this.
