Default Not doing a relearn, will is cause crank sensor to go bad?

If I install a new crank sensor, and do not do a relearn, will I still have problems and will it cause the new sensor to go bad? Is it 12 or 14 ohms for the crank sensor? How can I get a pcm relearn done? I don't have a tuner/scanner and don't want to spend $200+ for one.

Crank sensor relearn is primarily for accurate misfire detection. Stop worrying about it.

my suggestion is find a buddy with a GM scantool (tech II) and do it. if you go to a dealer, they usually charge about an hour to do it. if you dont do a relearn, like 2xLS1 said, it willpick up random sporatic misfires and the SES will come on. or another suggestion, go to a dealer, find a tech walking around and offer like 25 bucks cash to do it on the side really quickly. trust me, it works. i take donations all the time
