Default idle issues after new mass air

Hey guys just installed a new granatelli MAF with a cold air tune. Took my car out for a drive today and it drives fine but once the car is warm and i come to a stop the car seems to be searching for and idle and soon after stalls out. My car already has a tune on it, done with HP tuners. Has anyone else had idle issues with a new MAF? Thanks guys

Yes, you need to redo the RAF with a new MAF as all MAF's are not created equal. Find the RAF config file (on here or hptuners.com), start the car cold, turn off fans with the scanner tool and let it idle to 215 degrees. Then copy the values from the scanner to your idle base running airflow table. Takes all of 20 minutes start to finish.

Issues with those aftermarket MAFs are nothing new.
I have never seen one that was any where near consistent as far as output signal, and they are not tuning friendly....

Based on your mods, I would stick with a stock MAF as it does not require a full recalibration of the MAF table to make it work properly, and it will support about as much HP as you can throw at it up to a reasonable point.

Go back to Stock MAF. MAFs with "Tunes" are a nightmare to tune.
