Default WS6 hood for Trans Am

I am going to put a WS6 hood on my 1998 Trans Am (non -ram air). I found a hood locally and came off a 2001 WS6 Trans Am. I know that a lot of parts vary from the 98-99 years vs. the 00-02 years. Will I have any fitment issues with this newer model WS6 hood on my 98' model?

I have a SLP lid and K&N filter on it now. I see how this may not sit up high enough. What do you recommend getting? Volant CAI?

Would it be easiest to get the high rise box at a dealer?

Even if you get the raised lower airbox seal the hood to it and remove the baffles your only going to see about 3-5 HP at 100 mph.

there are some aftermarket intakes that use the ws6 ram air. they're probably cheaper than a factory from dealer anyways.

you can even take some extra sockets and put underneath the bolt holes and make yourself a homemade ram air box. kinda cheesy but you know it helps

if you raise the air box u p what holds your rad in place?

dont go to the stealership! ebay or bust!

even on a factory car the ram air hoods are basically for show, an slp flow pac or fast toys ram air kit is gonna have a bigger effect than a stock hood.

I agree even the FRA mod will show better gains then the hood.
