Default WS6 power steering issue

I have a 2002 trans am ws6 and today I found all my power steering fluid in a pool on my garage floor shorty after starting it. Has anyone seen this happen? Is the pump known for going bad or could it just be a hose? Thanks for any help.....

My pump/sytem was the biggest problem i ever had with my LS1. I got it replaced and it would work great for a day or so then id have to take it right back into the shop. In two months, they ended up replacing it 4 times. All under warranty of course. They kept saying i got defective parts but i think it was more like a defective mechanic. I wonder the whol time what the real problem was, my power steering or my mechanic. But they had done everything else right, they were GM Specialists so i think it was the car. And my car had the optional power steering coooler. If i had to give advice, i would just say make sure theyre thorough at the shop and sheck out the whole system and dont skimp for parts.

Could just be a hose gonna have to do a good inspection. Also check your alternator, they are known to fail when you have a leak (p/s fluid drips onto the alternator).

+1 on checking your alternator

Going through a p/s leak myself & alternator got dripped on. Lights now pulsate, but it charges fine for now (diodes inside regulator going out). I've got a Powermaster waiting to go in as soon as this ice storm gets outta town.
